When we look at the basic shapes of felt making there is: the cord, the ball, the flat
surface and resist felt. As a newly beginning felt maker, you will get started with the
ball shape.
The magic ball is very well suited to make with children. I’ve done it many times and the
persistence and wonder is a sight to behold.
Felting with lukewarm soapy water has a relaxing and soothing effect.
- Towel, bowl, olive soap (x)
- Baking tin or tray with raised edge
- Cuddly stone (gem stone polished) (x)
- 30 grams of mountain sheep wool carded in the fleece (x)
- Possibly disposable razor blade
